Adapt or die in digital marketing
Digital marketing is increasingly being used by companies to digitise and adapt to the environment. In today's post we are going to tell you about the trends in digital marketing in case you want to update your digital strategy.
Trends in Digital Marketing
- Paid campaigns. The strong penetration of social media in recent years means that the use of organic reach is not sufficient to achieve the desired dissemination. Therefore, social media campaigns will gradually increase.
- Content 24 hours of life. Snapchat has been the social network that opened the way for short content. Given its great reception among internet users, we will have to see how Twitter, WhatsApp and Facebook adapt their businesses to this format.
- Customer service and chatbots. Siri or Alexa will not be the only voice assistants we will talk to. Chatbots will be included on websites to improve the user experience.
- A more human relationship. Companies will have to move away from standard messages to their customers and move towards a more human relationship.
- Social e-commerce. 75% of internet users say that they have purchased a product after having seen it on social networks. Instagram is therefore a strong player in social e-commerce, and more and more social networks will be adapting their businesses to it.
- Integration with Influencers. Until now, we have seen how companies have contacted influencers to work closely with their brands. Well, the trend of influencers is moving towards companies including this type of channel in their staff.
- No to restrictions. The change in social media algorithms, in terms of how content is displayed, has caused companies to move to less restrictive social networks as they were losing effectiveness in their posts.
- Increased investment in content. 62% of B2B and B2C companies claim to have improved their results in 2016 with the implementation of the Content Marketing strategy, so an increase in investment is expected.
