The Torremolinos Town Hall has approved, by decree, its first Strategic Grants Planwhich involves some fifty lines of action and regulates the granting of these municipal aids.
This plan is built with more than six million euros and thus puts an end to subsidies granted without procedures.
Strategic plan for subsidies in Torremolinos
Some of the lines of action include aid for Property Tax (IBI), the promotion of employment, sport, youth and equality.
As for subsidies for university students, this plan includes an increase in academic fees for entrepreneurs and the self-employed with an allocation of 50,000 euros. There is also room for environmental protection.
Half a million euros will be allocated to the purchase, rental or rehabilitation of housing. Municipal aid to associations and groups with a social purpose, such as the Fundación Cuidados del Cáncer (Cancer Care Foundation), among others no less important.
The requirements can be consulted on the municipality's website. The main objective of this strategic plan consists of providing social and economic solutions to individuals, groups and public and private entities, Tocón tells us.
Transparency and support in the law will be mandatory actions, as this is public money from taxpayers; these are items that should be intended for our citizens and should be scrutinised by the political groups as well as by all citizens.
For the youngest, this strategic plan also includes them, through school, nursery, canteen, education, employment and self-employment aid; also to improve all establishments through job creation; family economic aid, IBI subsidies, university transport, promotion of sport, promotion of culture, tourism and leisure, equality and the environment.
Tocón anticipates that in 2018 there will be a reduction in the IBI tax rate.
Within 15 days, all citizens' requests will be resolved and they will receive a text message with the result of the assessment.
